This post is going to be picture heavy so lets begin! 🙂
We travelled from one end of Hong Kong to the other and every direction board such as this gave me that trickling sensation and I jumped and smiled like a small kid, though I am tall, like super tall 😛 nothing really could stop me from giggling and Mr. Boy was worried what would be my condition reaching Disneyland!
We were almost there, at this point away from the Disneyland by few minutes and this cute train took us there, to the dreamland which itself looked like a dream 😀 I mean those Mickey Mouse outlined windows and the miniatures of chipmunks and those mickey handles… Salute to that person who has designed the whole thing! It was all so dreamy and it was just the beginning 🙂
We were there…Finally… in the Land of Disney, the one place I wished to visit since my childhood days, I was there!! 😀
As soon as we entered, there was just cuteness everywhere. Everything was just loaded with tons of cuteness, check it out yourself!
Before we start off, there are a total of 7 unique themed areas:
- Main Street, USA
- Toy Story land
- Mystic Point
- Grizzly Gulch
At the Main Street, USA which is at the entrance of the park is said to resemble the early 20th Century Midwest town. This area is filled with sovereign shops, Disney Emporium, Art of Animation and other blocks.
By the time we finished having a look here, we were late and then I made a strategy. Yeah the Disneyland Theme Park is not a small place and I for one was very serious in covering every single attraction so we planned and allotted times for each area 😛
We quickly hopped into the train to go to Fantasyland 😀 take a look at how the train inside Disneyland looks 🙂
On reaching, I was mesmerized. This was what I had dreamt of…
And yes, we did take every single ride you see here and we had to wait for minimum of 20 to 30 minutes for each. It was super crowded and the excitement kept us going!
Even the dining area and the shops was so well designed to match the theme area and I was blank with over excitement at this point 😀
We then moved on to Tomorrowland, which Mr. Boy was the most excited about. This theme area was packed with a few short-rides which gave that adrenaline rush and this proved that Disneyland is not just about cute little rides but a lot more!
The Adventureland was one of the areas which was spread across a wide area and the attractions and rides were beyond imagination 😀 Tarzan’s Tree house, Jungle cruise to name a few. It also is the area which hosts the “Festival of the Lion King Show” but unfortunately we missed this 🙂
Next was the Toy Story Land, where the toys come to life, as seen from the movie Toy Story 🙂 There are rides which includes the characters from the movie and it was just so much fun and experience on its own.
The next 2 themed areas were not as huge as the others and we took up very few rides in these. Mystic point was a rainforest area where some supernatural events are designed to resemble that part of the world!
The Grizzly Gulch themed area is designed as an abandoned mining town which is set up amidst the rocky and hilly area. This area too had a ride which was packed with some solid punch!
Apart from this, there were Celebrations and Parades which literally made us feel like we belonged to a different world. One was the Flights of Fantasy parade during the day and Disney Paint the Night celebrations which also included fireworks on the famous Sleeping beauty castle.
This brought an end to our day in the Disneyland. How depressed I was while leaving 🙁 it was like as though I was leaving my world in which I stayed for a 100 years and going to another practical world L my mind and heart revolted but my brain walked them away and took the same gorgeous train back to the city! The kid in me was crying out loud but the moment we got back to this gorgeous place for dinner, I felt better and back to reality 🙂
Hope you enjoyed the long post!
The next would cover the Peak Tram we took to the highest peak in Hong Kong! It was like bliss! Stay tuned for it 🙂
