Review of the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Frick N Frack:
Packaging: Comes in a standard transparent tube like the Ultra mattes and glosses. The doe foot applicator picks up enough product for one time even application so no complaints on it. The shade name is printed at the bottom of the tube but it does fade off when placed with the rest of the makeup in the kit. However, the packaging is still convenient and easy to carry around.
Texture, Finish & Longevity: The texture of Colourpop Ultra Satins is bang on as described by the brand. It is lightweight and feels extremely comfortable on the lips even after hours of application, without flaking or drying or crumbling off from the lips!
Post application it dries down to a beautiful Satin Matte finish and it pretty much stays the same untill it completely fades off from the lips. It is most definitely forgiving on dry lips, that said it is still a long stay matte lippie so moisturizing and exfoliating your lips is a must. Even after long hours of wear, it neither settles into lip lines nor suck out all the moisture making your lips appear cracked and dead unlike some other liquid lipsticks.
With light snacks in between it stays for good 4 to 5 hours, but cannot survive off any oily food. It does transfer a little but if that is of a concern, you could just place a tissue on lips and lightly dab some translucent powder on top and tadaa you will have that custom-made transfer proof matte finish 😛 No you do not need any high-end translucent powder for that, just a ponds or any baby powder would do 🙂
The Ultra Satins also needs an oil based makeup remover to melt down completely since it does leave behind a slight tint. I have tried re-applying this over an already applied layer and was totally surprised to see how smoothly it glided on the lips without getting patchy or goopy, so a huge winner on this aspect as well!
Shade: Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Frick N Frack has been rightly described as Rosy-terracotta! OMG the shade looks absolutely flattering on every single skin tone, be it lighter or duskier than mine (I am between NC40 and NC42 shade in MAC) and it also looks perfect for beauties with both cool or warm undertones.
Be it to your office, parties, festivals, grocery shopping, ethnic wear or formal wear, Frick N Frack is one of those shades which would go well for any occasion and any attire! When worn even with just a moisturizer and sunscreen on, it still gives an elegant-polished look!
Overall, Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Frick N Frack is hands down my favourite liquid lipsticks out of the entire collection! It is a comfortable, long-wearing, almost transfer-proof liquid lipstick, which is equal to Perfection! A cookie point here is that Colourpop does not test its products on animals…Wohoo 🙂
Highly Highhlyy Recommended 🙂
