Hey All 🙂 As much as I love to take care of my hair, it does not really acknowledge any of that pampering and continues shedding anyways! In order to find that one perfect shampoo I have easily gone through many, many bottles of various different brands from the drugstore to high-end ones. Though a few high-end ones did give me good results it was not something I would stick to forever. I stumbled upon this brand Bon Organics when one of the bloggers posted about it on Instagram and naturally while browsing their website, came across the Bon Organics Aloe Vera Shampoo! Review of Bon Organics Aloe Vera Shampoo:
The brand BON stands for Bio Organic & Natural, focuses on Women Empowerment which was the first thing that drew me to their website, all their products are 100% handmade, cruelty free, environment friendly and they also deliver the products quite fast which is all worth mentioning 🙂
Packaging: No fuss transparent plastic bottle with simple flip top screw cap. The shelf life and ingredients are printed on the bottle, have travelled with it and never faced any issue of leakage what so ever..neat!
Efficacy: In a cup, I mix a dollop of the Bon Organics Aloe Vera shampoo with enough water to completely dilute it as I do with any other shampoo. Then parting hair in sections I pour in this diluted shampoo water on the scalp and gentle massage. By doing this you not only avoid using too much shampoo but also save your hair from unwanted residue buildup which in my case result in way too much hair fall *facepalm*
I honestly did not expect much from this shampoo since I saw the “safe surfactants” a foaming agent, mentioned in the ingredients list but OMG did it blow my mind at the first use itself. I oil my hair very lightly(only the scalp) an hour before the shower and the first time I just used the shampoo and skipped the conditioner. And the results?! I was surprised to see that it did condition and give a good volume. Since Aloe Vera is used as a base, along with Vitamin E and other oils, it provides good hydration to the scalp and soothes any irritation as well. When there is no time to oil my hair, I go in with this shampoo and follow it up with a silicone free conditioner(the next blog post 😛 ) which again leaves my hair nourished with enough volume.
With one wash it thoroughly cleanses the scalp of all the oil and dirt leaving the hair feeling light and smelling fresh…oh it does have a lovely fresh fragrance which kinda smells soapy, not sure if there is any fragrance added to it or if it is from the surfactants 😛 Anyways it smells fresh, does not leave behind any residue and makes my hair shed slightly, very slightly lesser too 🙂 My scalp stays oil free for upto 3 days which is great since I have oily scalp with dry ends.
Overall, the Bon Organics Aloe Vera Shampoo did stand true to all its claims and took me by a total surprise! Have been using it since 4 months now and would continue using it along with the other variant which is called the Herbal Shampoo(another amazing shampoo which is even more nourishing sans the volumizing factor of the aloe variant). If you are looking for an affordable, natural, organic and cruelty free shampoo which only does good to your hair, then you should definitely check it out!
